Holiday message from Mayor Sass

Happy Holidays everyone! While 2020 has brought many challenges, we are looking forward to brighter days in 2021. The holidays are a great time to think about the many blessings we have experienced in spite of the difficulties. It’s also a time when we pause to remember those no longer with us. As we come together to celebrate this special season, let’s do so safely and show a little extra kindness to those around us.

Thank you for your support of our local businesses. Please continue supporting them, as well as your favorite local charities.

Be sure to take a drive through the downtown. The holiday lights around the Square are beautiful – you might even want to take a picture or two to share with friends and family.

Many exciting things are happening here in Huntley. Jewel Osco has just opened a brand new store at Reed’s Corner, a 100-room Hampton Inn is under construction south of Culver’s, Thorntons Gas and Convenience Center is ready to open at Kreutzer Road and Rt. 47, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen new restaurant is nearing completion, and Wendy’s will be opening early next year at Drendel’s Corner. The Village continues its efforts to attract new businesses and investment to our community.

Thank you all for making Huntley a great place to live. I wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season, and an even better New Year!
