Huntley Area Public Library unveils new building at its April reopening
HUNTLEY – Doug Cataldo, the Huntley Area Public Library’s (HAPL) head of marketing, was excited to welcome patrons back at the April 26 reopening.
“It’s huge. I mean it’s huge for us because we were closed for a while. We needed to get somethings done…But the way we did this, it’s the right way to do it. So, moving everything in here, it takes some time getting each and every element that you want to have done the proper way and getting to this point. It’s amazing teamwork from the library crew, from the movers, from the builders to the architects,” Cataldo said.
“Just working together to make sure everything goes right and getting through punch lists and getting people situated and [explaining] some places that they’re not going to be permanently [here] and so it’s always an undertaking, but to have it finally be ready to the public is huge for us.”
