
Rotary Club of Huntley looks to help collect items food pantry does not carry for those in need
HUNTLEY – The Rotary Club of Huntley is partnering up with the Grafton Food Pantry and the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce to ask residents for donations of baskets or buckets full of cleaning supplies or personal care items that will be distributed to families in need at the Grafton Food Pantry.
According to a statement by the Rotary Club of Huntley, examples of cleaning supplies individuals can donate include dishwashing and laundry soap, cleanser, toilet bowl cleaner, brushes, vinegar, bleach, paper towels, and rags.
Residents may also choose to donate a basket which they can fill with personal care items including lotions, soap, razors, toothbrushes and paste, mouthwash, Chapstick, deodorant, shampoo, toilet paper. Feminine care products are also needed.
“Tie a ribbon around the handle for a festive accent and know you are making life for a family nicer and easier,” said the Rotary Club of Huntley.
Donated baskets or buckets can be dropped off to either the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce located at 11704 Coral Street, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or to the Drendel Corners store (13280 S. IL Route 47), which is located across from Del Webb and is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
