Linda Pribla: “We had a bird one year for Thanksgiving, but it was not a Turkey. It was a goose.” | ![]() |

Diane Flanagan: “We had a turkey that was cooked in maple syrup. It was not requested again. I may not be the best cook, but I clean thoroughly. I cleaned the oven getting ready for our turkey dinner. Unfortunately, after hours of cooking, the turkey in that clean oven, it was still not done. We ended up ordering pizza. I found out later from the repair man that when I put the oven knobs back on, I did not put in on correctly, and the controls did not work.” | ![]() |

Vivian Osth: “When we were younger, my best friend and I had to have two Thanksgiving dinners. We went to my house and her house. Her mom liked to try new recipes. One year she made oyster stuffing. It was horrible. We gave it to the dog and he even spat it out.” | ![]() |

Beverly Kenny: “When I was 18, my friend and I had to fend for ourselves one year for Thanksgiving. We didn’t know how to cook. Turkey was out of the question. We didn’t even know how to cook hamburgers. We had to call our parents for directions to make those burgers.” | ![]() |
