Rita Patel, Huntley: “We all wear matching pajamas. All of us, my kids, my husband, in-laws and siblings. And the best part is the men are responsible for the making dinner. My husband and brothers all get together and cook dinner for all of us.” | ![]() |

Anna Alagna, Huntley: “It’s about family and food. We’re Italian so it’s always about food. We always have fish on Christmas Eve.” | ![]() |

Robin Chambers, Huntley: “We have had four generations that have gone to the Walnut Room every year for the holidays. I would go downtown with my grandmother and get on the waiting list for the Walnut Room at Marshall Fields. While some adults waited in line, we went to see Santa Claus. The toy department used to be on the same floor and was phenomenal. It was great. We still go every year, but the toy department is gone.” | ![]() |

Valerie Gomogda, Huntley: “Opening gifts on Christmas morning. I love watching the smiles on everyone’s faces. There’s nothing like it. I love watching the faces light up when they see the unwrapped gifts.” | ![]() |

Danielle Barnvos, Huntley: “We have a tradition of getting an ornament on all our travels and for big events during the year. So the day after Thanksgiving when we put up our tree, we get to see all the ornaments that we have collected and reminisce about all the fun memories.” | ![]() |
