Huntley’s Hampton Inn kicks off the holiday season with a Halloween celebration
HUNTLEY — For three months now, the first hotel in Huntley, the Hampton Inn (13000 Route 47), has been actively taking reservations, especially for guests attending local weddings in the area.
The arrival of the hotel, which was made possible by President and owner of Woodstock Hotel, Inc., Henry Patel, has been a welcomed addition to the Huntley community.
According to the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce, Hampton Inn has been a convenient location for guests attending weddings at the nearby Lincoln Farmstead and Goebbert’s Farm.
Supply chain issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic caused the hotel to push its original opening date away from Dec. 31, 2021.
Patel was given until Oct. 31 of this year to open for business after having received several extensions from the village Board of Trustees.
Luckily, Huntley’s Hampton Inn was able to open well before the October deadline, although they did have to go without a swimming pool until Sept. 30.
Today, guests staying at the Hampton Inn will be able to finally enjoy the indoor pool as well as a patio with a fire pit and an outdoor grill within a serene setting.
In addition to the outdoor space, the hotel has a small meeting room that can be rented for guests and locals.
Guests also get to enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast with their overnight stay.
Some may even be happy to know that Huntley’s Hampton Inn was recently able to obtain its liquor license from the village and now sells various food and drinks, including alcohol, in its lobby treats shop.
The hotel has even made it a point to partner with local businesses including selling Morkes Chocolates in its shop and using Countryside Floral for its décor. Hampton Inn plans to eventually sell beer from Sew Hop’d as well.
Other amenities guests can expect from the hotel include a well-equipped workout room that has three treadmills, two cardio bikes (a Peloton Bike being one of them), a free weight rack, an elliptical, and yoga equipment.
Partnering with local businesses is not the only way the hotel gets involved with the community. On Oct. 31, Huntley’s Hampton Inn hosted a Halloween event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the public and even pets to enjoy.
The event invited individuals to trick-or-treat and enjoy some baked goods and hot chocolate.
A costume contest was also held with prizes being awarded to the best-dressed pet, child, and adult. The winner of the best-dressed adult costume contest got a free overnight stay at the hotel.
