Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce to host 2022 ice sculpture cocoa crawl

HUNTLEY — It’s been recently announced that the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an “Ice Sculpture Cocoa Crawl” in the downtown Huntley Square on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

With registration now being open, attendees of the event will get the opportunity to view custom-carved holiday movie-themed ice sculptures that will be on display on the sidewalks in the Huntley Square.

Individuals are also welcome to step inside sponsoring businesses to warm up, shop, and/or eat. There is no cost to view the ice sculptures.

Additionally, residents will be able to enjoy cocoa tastings at participating cocoa crawl stops as they stroll through downtown Huntley and admire the custom-carved ice sculptures, stated the chamber.

The cocoa will be served in an event-themed travel mug that can be purchased from the Huntley Area Chamber. S’mores kits can also be purchased to be used on the fire pits stationed throughout the area during the event.

The travel mug and s’mores kit combo will cost $15; however, residents will have the opportunity to purchase those items separately if they please. The travel mug by itself will cost $12, while the s’mores kit will sell for $5.

Mugs and s’mores kits are available for online preorder. Century 21 New Heritage is the presenting sponsor of the event and First Centennial Mortgage Team V is sponsoring the s’mores kits.

Onsite sales and pre-order mug and s’mores kit pick-up will be available at the Century 21 New Heritage office located at 11802 E Main Street.

According to the chamber, all Cocoa Crawl participants must have an official 2022 Ice Sculpture Cocoa Crawl mug to participate. Personal mugs of any other kind will not be accepted, and participating businesses will only serve cocoa to those with official Cocoa Crawl mugs.

Various Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce members will be sponsoring the ice sculptures while participating members with businesses on the Square will be hosting cocoa stations and other activities to be announced.
