
Volleyball players win All-FVC honors
HUNTLEY — The Huntley girls volleyball program honored players for post-season accolades Dec. 2.
Head coach Karen Naymola’s Red Raiders team achievements were highlighted by an unbeaten Fox Valley Conference championship; winning the Class 3A McHenry Regional and Machesney Park sectional to advance to the Dundee-Crown super-sectional. The final varsity record was 32-7.
HHS players named All-FVC were: setter senior Maggie Duyos. senior middle blocker Avary DeBlieck and senior outside hitter Ally Panzloff. Also, junior outside hitter Morgan Jones and sophomore right side hitter Georgia Watson were all league.
Team honors included: Watson gained Most Valuable Player; DeBlieck won Most Spirited Player for the second straight season; sophomore Mari Rodriquez won Most Improved and senior defensive specialist Luma Acevedo earned the Coaches Award.
