State’s Attorney files motion prohibiting Dairy Mart owner any contact with children
HUNTLEY – Christopher S. Hopp, 38, and Corinne E. Breskovich, 42, both from Crystal Lake were released on bond after their arrests for the production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, unauthorized video recordings, possession with intent to deliver psilocybin, unlawful possession of psilocybin and two counts of child endangerment.
In addition, the pair were also charged with the possession of a firearm with a revoked Firearm Owner Identification card (FOID) and the possession of ammunition without a FOID.
Hopp was released after posting 10% of his $400,000 bond and Breskovich was also released after posting 10% of her $150,000 bond.
Hopp and Breskovich are owners of Windy City Landholdings LLC, which, in turn, purchased the Huntley landmark Dairy Mart in late 2022.
The couple were arrested on January 26 after a search warrant of their home was executed. The psilocybin mushroom growth operation was found in the basement of the home. The psilocybin mushroom is commonly known as shrooms and/or magic mushrooms and are typically consumed for their hallucinogenic effects.
The complaint also included that the couple had knowingly caused the life and health of two children to be endangered by having the firearms unsecured in the home along with the drugs and ammunition being accessible to them.
Brian Miller, a McHenry County Assistant State’s Attorney, filed a motion asking a judge to enter an order prohibiting Hopp have contact with any children while he is out on bond.
A further court appearance is scheduled for February 17 for a preliminary hearing.
