
Police investigate suspicious car fire incident
HUNTLEY — The Huntley Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance following what has been determined to be a suspicious vehicle fire.
On Wednesday, March 2, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Huntley Police Department responded to the 11800 block of Everglades Road in reference to a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, officers saw a gray passenger car fully engulfed in the driveway of the residence. The Huntley Fire Department arrived on the scene and put out the fire. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
According to the Huntley Police Department press release, the nature of the fire appears suspicious and Huntley police detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident. There are no suspects; however, a silver sedan was seen driving in the area prior to the start of the fire.
Anyone who lives in the area and may have witnessed a suspicious activity around the time of the fire, or who may have surveillance footage during that time period, is asked to contact the Huntley Police Department at 847-515-5311.
