The Huntley boys bowling team gained its 10th dual match win by beating Burlington Central at Bowl-Hi Lanes Dec. 12. Head coach Jacob Wagner commented on the two wins over the Rockets.
“We bowled well both nights against BC,” Wagner said. “.Their head coach and I really get along and he is doing a great job with a young team in year two of their program. The dynamic of their house is awesome with it being half synthetic lanes and half wood.”
Waters, a freshman, has been making great strides this season.
“Waters has been bowling great for us and has really bumped our energy,” Wagner said. “ We have a great team dynamic on our Varsity roster that the guys get along and pick each other up. He is really coming into his own and throwing it great. He was consistent on Thursday and for him that is important. He pushes himself hard and has a great mind for the game.”
The Red Raiders are in the lead in Kishwaukee River Conference-Fox Valley Conference alliance standings. “We have two match-ups left next week we are sitting in 1st place with 75 points. McHenry (61) and Harvard (60) are right behind us,” Wagner said.
The Red Raiders concluded alliance matches with McHenry and Harvard prior to holiday break.
