
Kane County Sheriff’s Office makes fentanyl drug arrest on I-88
HUNTLEY—On July 16 at approximately 2:25 p.m., the Kane County Special Investigation Unit (SUI) spotted a silver Nissan SUV on I-88 near Dauberman Road in Elburn, exhibiting several lane violations.
After conducting a traffic stop, the driver was identified as Lanell Craft, 41, of the 0 block of W. 110th Street in Chicago. Law enforcement established that Craft’s driver’s license had been revoked for “Driving Under the Influence (DUI),” according to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Additionally, Craft also had a prior conviction for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
Upon searching the vehicle during the traffic stop, detectives discovered 100 grams of Fentanyl concealed in a large tote bag hidden under clothing.
Craft was subsequently taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class X felony.
Craft is currently being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center in St. Charles with no bond.
