D158 Education Foundation introduces new executive director
HUNTLEY — Huntley Community School District 158’s (D158) Education Foundation has proudly announced Amber Pfaff as its new executive director. Pfaff started her new role with the foundation back in January, replacing Angela Kossaris, who has served as the foundation’s executive director since 2019.
“Thanks to Angela’s hard work and dedication, we’ve seen significant growth in our fundraising and attendance at events over the past six years,” said D158 Education Foundation Board President Rich Bobby. “We now look forward to the positive impact Amber will have in helping us continue to advance our mission and goals that enhance the educational experience for Huntley 158 students, staff, and families.”
According to a press release by the district, Pfaff attended elementary and middle school at D158. Additionally, she has three children, two of whom are currently Huntley 158 students. Since 2019, Pfaff has also served as the founder and owner of an accessories and jewelry business. Pfaff specializes in social media management, graphic design, and event planning.
“It’s truly an honor to be part of an organization that is making such a meaningful impact for the students in our community,” stated Pfaff in a press release statement. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Huntley 158 Education Foundation family and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together!”
“Amber’s deep roots in the community and her passion for education, community engagement, and student success make her an excellent leader for this role,” said D158 Superintendent Jessica Lombard. “We look forward to the positive impact she will bring in strengthening partnerships and expanding opportunities for our students and schools.”
Established in 2003, the D158 Education Foundation’s mission is to advance student and staff excellence within the district to achieve their highest potential. Through fundraising and donations, the foundation provides teacher grants and student scholarships to support innovative and impactful initiatives that go beyond the traditional curriculum.
The foundation hosts the annual Huntley Hootenanny 5K glow walk/run in the fall and the Huntley 158 educator and staff recognition banquet in the spring.
