
Special paper shredding event scheduled for July 10
McHENRY COUNTY — The McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) has scheduled an additional date for a free document shredding event.
The additional event will be held from 9 – 11:30 a.m., or until the shred truck reaches capacity, on Saturday, July 10, at the McHenry County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road in Woodstock. This event is open to McHenry County residents only. No businesses will be accepted, and there is a four banker box limit per vehicle.
Paper Tiger Document Solutions will provide the onsite secure document shredding. Documents are shredded onsite in the shred truck.
Remember these important tips for quick shredding:
- The shredder can only take paper. No CDs or thumb drives.
- Staples and paper clips are OK.
- Binder clips, three-ring binders and the like need to be removed prior to shredding before arriving to the event.
- Participants will need to take back any bags or boxes.
This is a document shredding event only. No other types of waste will be accepted. Additional electronics, battery, textile, Styrofoam events are scheduled for September 11 and October 16.
