West Dundee business owner killed in a Gilberts car accident identified
HUNTLEY – On Jan. 24, the Kane County Coroner’s Office received a call at approximately 2:15 a.m. from the Gilberts Police Department regarding a death that had occurred due to a vehicle crash.
The incident occurred near Huntley and Kreutzer Roads.
The deceased individual was later identified as 44-year-old Jesse M. Dalisky of West Dundee.
Dalisky was transported to the Kane County morgue, where an autopsy was performed on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
The Kane County Coroner’s Office stated that the preliminary cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries due to a vehicle striking a fixed object.
Toxicology samples were sent to a forensic lab for further analysis.
According to an obituary posted on the DeFiore Funeral Home (10763 Dundee Road, Huntley) website, Dalisky married his wife Jessica Anne Brewer in October 2006, with the couple later having two children.
Additionally, Dalisky and his business partner Dave Luchtman established Lucky’s Energy Services, a fuel and lubricants distributor based in Carpentersville, back in 2010.
“Earlier this week, Jesse Dalisky’s Mom informed me that my long-time friend and business partner was involved in a tragic vehicle accident. Unfortunately, Jesse had succumbed to his injuries and had passed away. The news of Jesse’s passing is both shocking and unfathomable,” wrote Luchtman on the company’s website. “Jesse’s friendship and sense of humor are irreplaceable; He will never be forgotten.”
Luchtman continued, “Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are to have such beautiful people in our lives, and it’s times like these, that just doesn’t make sense or seem fair, but reminds us just how lucky we truly are to have known Jesse.”
Dalisky’s obituary described him as a caring and well-liked employer who also had a “huge wit, razor-sharp sense of humor and was very charismatic.”
The business owner was said to have had many friends, with Dalisky often being seen playing golf with some of them and his brother.
Dalisky is survived by his two children and wife, as well as his mother, his three siblings, his seven nieces and nephews, and countless extended family members and friends.
Visitations for Dalisky are expected to take place on Feb. 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the DeFiore Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Feb. 5 at 11 a.m.
