HHS girls golf gains 2 FVC wins

HUNTLEY – Huntley’s girls golf team downed rival Jacobs, 190-217 in a Fox Valley Conference dual match at Pinecrest Golf Club in a Fox Valley Conference dual match Aug. 31.

Junior Aubrey Dingbaum led the Red Raiders as she shot a 43. Sammi Campanelli was next with a 48 score and senior Abby Panier carded a 49.

“Our goal is to break 200 every night out,” Red Raiders coach Ann Christiansen said.

Dingbaum has been the scoring leader for HHS so far the coach said. Dingbaum was also low scorer in wins over Marian Central and Burlington Central.

The Red Raiders defeated Marian Central, 187-198, in a non-conference match.

In that win Aug. 29, Dingbaum shot a 42 to lead the way. Sloan had a 43; junior Kylie Szymczak carded a 49 and Campanelli shot a 53 for counters.

HHS beat Burlington Central in a FVC dual, 197-214, Aug. 24.

Dingbaum paced the Red Raiders with a 46 score. Campanelli was next with a 49 while Annie Garrard shot a 50 and Taryn Rainey rounded out the scoring with a 52.
