
Boys soccer shuts out Libertyville
HUNTLEY – Huntley’s boys soccer team continued the late-match heroics going with a 1-0 win at Libertyville Sept. 6. They then lost two close matches at a weekend tournament for a 5-2-2 record.
Jacob Jacobo scored the game-winning goal against the Libertyville in the 75th minute off an assist from Ansel Dias. Ethan Robertson played all 80 minutes as goalie and recorded three saves. HHS was coming off a comeback win in the Huntley Quad tournament championship.
At weekend tournament
The Red Raiders fell to St. Laurence 2-0 Sept. 10 at the Body Armor tournament’s first round.
David Pawlak played all 80 minutes in goal and made seven saves.
Willowbrook
The Red Raiders lost the second round match to Willowbrook, 2-1 Sept. 11.
Jacobo scored the Huntley goal in the second half.
Pawlak made four saves in goal and Robertson also played 40 minutes and had five saves.
