Branch pickup service offered; deadline is Feb. 27
HUNTLEY — Due to the recent storms, including the ice storm of Feb. 22 that hit most of McHenry County and the Village of Huntley, the Huntley Public Works staff is offering branch pickup service.
Residents are asked to move debris and branches to the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27.
The Huntley Public Works Staff asks residents stack branches along the curb line so that the trunks, the larger end of the branch, are all facing the same direction; either toward the roadway or with traffic.
The Huntley Public Works staff cautions it is unable to accept the following items during branch pickup services: tree limbs larger than 10″ in diameter or smaller than one-half inch in diameter; tied bundles of branches; bagged material or material in cans; leaves and yard waste; trimmings from bushes and evergreen material and stumps of any kind.
Materials not accepted can be properly disposed of by contacting your yard waste hauler or by utilizing a landscape service.
