
Candidate petitions available for spring village elections
If hanging out around the house and watching campaign coverage has you pining to play a role, you can become part of the process on the local level this spring.
The Village of Huntley will hold an election on April 6, 2021, for village president and three trustees. The seats are currently held by Mayor Charles Sass, and trustees Ronda Goldman, John Piwko, and JR Westberg.
Beginning Thursday, Village Clerk Rita McMahon has petitions available for potential candidates at the clerk’s office in the village hall, 10987 Main St., during normal business hours.
McMahon said candidates will need to file petitions containing the signatures of between 178 and 285 registered voters. Filing opens on Monday Dec. 14 and ends at the close of business on Monday, Dec. 21.
