Village of Huntley celebrates the construction of 173 single-family homes in a new subdivision
HUNTLEY— M/I Homes, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicagoland area, recently announced the debut of Fieldstone, a new construction community that is slated to bring 173 single-family homes to the village.
According to a press release statement, the homebuilder hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in late November that celebrated the start of construction on two model homes, which will be finished for a Feb. 1 grand opening event that will also mark the official start of sales within the Fieldstone subdivision of Huntley.
“In the current real estate market, where pricing and competition for existing homes remains high, new-construction homes in proven areas like Huntley continue to attract tremendous interest from buyers,” said Rick Champine, area president of M/I Homes. “Fieldstone not only offers future residents large home sites and [the] opportunity to choose the floor plan that best suits their needs, but also a great suburban location served by top-rated Huntley schools, a variety of recreational amenities, and major transportation arteries including Interstate 90 and Route 47.”
Fieldstone will be located at the northwest corner of Dundee-Huntley and Haligus roads, adjacent to the Huntley Village Hall and near the Huntley Area Public Library.
Interested home buyers will have the choice of nine-floor plans from M/I’s popular “Classic Series,” including two ranch layouts and seven two-story designs. Homes measure 1,776 to 3,342 square feet and have two to four bedrooms, partial or full basements, and attached two-or three-car garages.
M/I Homes states that all plans feature open-concept layouts and nine-foot first-floor ceilings, and can be personalized with options such as fireplaces, morning rooms, and luxury owners’ baths. Pricing information for homes within Fieldstone is expected to be announced in December.
“With work officially underway and two model homes poised to open in early 2024, we’re excited to introduce Fieldstone as a terrific new residential offering in the northwest suburbs,” added Champine.
Many of the upgrades available at Fieldstone will be showcased in the two model homes currently under construction.
One of the model homes called “the Dunbar,” is described as a 2,500-square-foot home with three bathrooms, two and a half baths, a flex room on the main level, and a loft and laundry room on the second floor. The other home model, “the Hudson,” will showcase a 3,100-square-foot home with four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a formal dining room, and a den on the main level.
“We invite buyers to attend our model grand opening celebration on Feb. 1 for the opportunity to see firsthand the many features these floor plans offer and the variety of choices they will have for finishes, from kitchen cabinets and countertops to bathroom tile to flooring and lighting throughout the home,” stated Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes.
