Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce to host inaugural Build-A-Breakfast Pajama Crawl

HUNTLEY — Taking place on Oct. 26, the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its first-ever “Build-A-Breakfast Pajama Crawl.” The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the Huntley Square. All ages are invited to enjoy a morning of delicious breakfast bites, festive drinks, exciting activities, and fun giveaways while also strolling through downtown Huntley in pajamas.

Participants can choose from two ticket options—$30 for the alcohol option and $22 for the non-alcohol option—which include: seven unique breakfast items from local restaurants (pancake, donut, breakfast sandwich, bacon, homemade muffin, fruit, and granola bar).

Participants who purchase the non-alcoholic ticket option can two from three beverage options (coffee, tea, and juice). The alcohol ticket option includes two additional drinks—a choice of mimosa, Bloody Mary, or one of each. Individuals are welcome to share food and drinks with friends but they must note that each wristband grants participants one of each unique item, with easy-to-take-home portions if the food cannot be finished.

The event will also have some special features and activities including a “Build-A-Pet” activity sponsored by Huntley Animal Care. For $5 with any ticket purchase, participants can build their own stuffed animal. In addition, dogs from the Animal House Shelter will be on-site for cuddles and to showcase the joy of pet adoption.

Participants can partake in a pajama contest which gives individuals the opportunity to show off their best PJs for a chance to win prizes for “Best Individual, Group, and Couple Pajamas.” Pajamas are encouraged to be worn at this event; however, they are not required.

Other activities include a vendor market in which individuals can explore local vendors at Parkside Pub from 10 a.m. to noon and some other giveaways. Starbucks and BBQ King are sponsoring exclusive giveaways, ensuring participants receive some extra treats during the event. Additional sponsors include Basic Becky, Heartland Bank, and A to Z Chiropractic.

The event kicks off at the Huntley American Legion on Coral Street for check-in, with 11 walkable stops throughout the Square to collect food, drinks, and goodies. Each registration also includes a souvenir bag and cup to take home, along with other surprises.

The Pajama Crawl is a rain-or-shine event, and no on-site registration will be available.
