Jolly Holiday Happenings Near Huntley
Welcome, December! Many new and exciting things are happening in and around the Huntley area. Create lasting memories during this wonderful season. Wishing everyone safe and happy Holidays!
Huntley is taking part in “Wreaths Across America”
Before (or instead of) the “Ice Sculpture Cocoa Crawl” as mentioned in my previous article, this “Wreathes Across America” event will: “honor local veterans in the Huntley Cemetery and St. Mary Cemetery with a fresh wreath at their grave.” Both events take place starting at noon on the 14th of December. If interested in “sponsoring a wreath at a veterans grave, please email [email protected] for the Huntley Rotary order form, or mail a check to the Rotary Club of Huntley; PO Box 323; Huntley, IL 60142”. Also as stated on Huntley’s Village website, “the mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember, Honor and Teach”. What an amazing opportunity to give back to our local heroes during the holiday season.
BUNDTS can be Homeruns!
Crystal Lake received a SWEET addition of ‘Nothing Bundt Cakes’ on Route 14! Despite their name, they “carry a variety of retail items to enhance your celebration like cake candles, party packs, balloons, [etc.] to make your occasion extra special”, in addition to their amazing bundt cakes. Also according to their website, they have “more than sixty unique handcrafted cake designs themed around holidays and celebrations throughout the year, crowned with [their] signature cream cheese frosting”. These decadent treats can make a great addition to a holiday or birthday party, big or small! They are also a great gift idea as well! To check out the ‘Nothing Bundt Cakes’ menu and order online to pick up in Crystal Lake, go to www.nothingbundtcakes .com/all-products/?bakery=817. Enjoy!
