
Soccer players garnered post-season honors
HUNTLEY — Several Huntley boys soccer players gained post-season honors.
Members of the All Fox Valley Conference teams, as selected by the league’s head coaches:
First team, senior Mason Leslie, who led the squad with seven goals, five assists for 19 points and senior Aidan Herrara, who scored three goals.
A second team selection was senior goalkeeper Jeremiah Reynolds, who made 79 total saves.
Selected to the honorable mention squad was junior Noah Gomez.
In addition, Red Raiders earned Illinois High School Coaches Association (IHSCA) accolades. Leslie was mamed IHSCA All-State and Herrara to the All-Section squad. Max Bauer, a junior, was named All Section Honorable Mention.
Senior goalkeeper Devin Concha won All-Section Sportsmanship Team honor and senior Tylar Caddick earned a All Section Academic Team spot.
Head Coach Matt Lewandowski’s team achieved a 14-7-4 overall record, 7-2 and runner-up in the FVC and captured its Class 3A regional title.
