As previously reported in My Huntley News, the Bright Program was first established back in 2021 and currently operates in the Huntley Park District’s Deicke Park facility located at 11419 S. Route 47.

The goal of the program is to serve adults with developmental disabilities over the age of 22 with activities that focus on personal development through case management, community connections, and targeted development of personal independence.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the SUV was heading eastbound on Ballard Road when for unknown reasons, the vehicle continued through the intersection of Briarwood Road and proceeded to leave the roadway, which ultimately resulted in the accident.

The driver of the Acura, 22-year-old Jennifer Fernandez of Carpentersville, as well as Lauren, the Dobosz’s four children, and a friend of one of their children were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.

“Our hands are being tied and our backs are being forced up against the wall by our landlord and the Village of Lake in the Hills,” stated Sac in her video. “Unfortunately, we received a letter yesterday (July 29) after a very threatening meeting on Thursday (July 28) and I quote, ‘Should the village become aware of any entertainment events continuing to be advertised or taking place at UpRising Bakery and Café location, it will pursue appropriate enforcement actions.’”

The preliminary investigation revealed that an SUV was heading eastbound on Ballard Road when for unknown reasons the vehicle continued through the intersection of Briarwood Road, stated local authorities on July 28.

The SUV then proceeded to leave the roadway and subsequently struck a detached garage and residence in the 100 block of Heather Drive.

Baird stated that he began to look at alternatives to remain fiscally responsible, while still fulfilling his duties as they relate to “the care and custody of inmates” remanded to his custody.

The Village said that residents can utilize other on street parking, such as behind BBQ King restaurant, for example.

However, local law enforcement soon reported that they were investigating concerns they had received from citizens in regards to the drag show performance.

The police department later announced that no “violations of the Village of Lake in the Hills Municipal Code were found and no nudity or sexually explicit content” was discovered to be a part of the drag show event.

With the fire intensifying, mutual aid was requested from neighboring communities to assist in extinguishing the fire, stated authorities.

By approximately 8:33 p.m., the fire was completely controlled, with no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.

While the cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, with assistance from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the daughter of the owner of Rob’s Complete Auto Repair, has since started a Go Fund Me page to assist with the damage done to the shop.

The Carpentersville Fire Department was also on the scene and transported four injured individuals to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

One of those victims, a 27-year-old male that was later identified as Jamie X. McDonald of Streamwood, had to be extricated from his vehicle, according to local authorities.
