Shannon Andrews, who previously served as the assistant village administrator for Lake in the Hills, has since been appointed by the Village Board to take over Mullard’s position, leaving a vacancy for the assistant village administrator position.

On March 16, Andrews announced that Ashley Eccles, the former communications coordinator for the Lake in the Hills Police Department, had been chosen as the new assistant village administrator.

The 12 agencies that participated in the operation included police departments in Aurora, Batavia, Carpentersville, Elgin, Elburn, Geneva, Montgomery, Pingree Grove, St. Charles, and South Elgin. The Illinois State Police District 15 and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office also participated.

Once a suspected drunk driver was pulled over and arrested by a law enforcement officer, the offender would be transported to their local police station.

According to a news release statement, the Community High School All-Star award, sponsored by Athletico Physical Therapy, recognizes nine high school football players from March through May who are making a positive impact in their community and school.

Each winner receives a custom hand-painted football, gift bag, and invitation to a future Bears event.

The Elgin Police Department explained that Gallagher was born and raised in Ireland and had left his family of 10 siblings to chase his life-long dream of immigrating to the U.S.

Gallagher has a robust social work background and so far during his tenure at the Elgin Police Department, he has worked patrol and he has become part of the Emergency Services Detail (ESD).

The race will begin in the Children’s Medical Building parking lot located at 301 N Randall Road.

Upon arrival to the two-story residence, fire department personnel worked quickly to bring the fire under control which had already spread to both floors of the home.

There were no injuries reported as all of the occupants of the home and their pets were able to escape safely thanks to the smoke detectors that were equipped throughout the house that alerted the family.

McHenry County State’s Attorney Prosecutors Ken Hudson and Brett Dunbar negotiated a plea deal with Vasil in which she pleaded guilty to an added Class 2 felony she was also charged with, in 2020, and would subsequently have to serve six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
