HUNTLEY — Alex Johnson, senior track and field athlete at Huntley High School, is a three-time state champion and was awarded the 2022 Illinois Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (ITCCA) Girls Field Athlete of the Year. As a sophomore, Alex was the 3A women's state champion in long jump. In her junior year, she won the long jump state championship again, in addition to the triple jump state championship, with a jump of 12.33m. Who was runner up? Dominique Johnson, her sophomore sister who at the time was a freshman, with a state jump of 12.17m.

HUNTLEY — Huntley High School’s boys volleyball team has had their best start in program history this spring, with a record of 6-5. These six wins tie the Red Raiders’ season high in the short history of the program.

This is the first year in Huntley history where every single varsity athlete on the boys volleyball team has experience in the sport, making a huge difference in the success of the program.

“I think it's hard for any varsity coach to imagine having a lineup with 20 to 50 percent of the team having never played the sport before,” Head Coach Gerald Marchand said.
