According to a press release, the study was conducted in 41 hospitals across 18 countries. Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital were among the hospitals included in the study.

To evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 Omicron variant on maternal and neonatal outcomes, the researchers studied 1,545 pregnant women diagnosed with the Omicron variant and 3,073 non-diagnosed, concomitant pregnant women as control subjects.

Manny’s Gelato and Café first opened for business back on Jan. 30, 2017, where locals praised its authentic blend of unique and freshly made Italian gelato flavors as well as its expansive selection of various food and drink items.

According to the HFPD, Eeg embarked on his firefighting career on a part-time basis back in 1987. Eeg originally had plans to work as an aerospace engineer, however, that changed after the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.

Eeg’s history with Huntley extends far beyond the fire department as he has lived in the village since he was 14 years old and even graduated from Huntley High School.

According to officials from the Fox River Valley Public Library District (FRVPLD), which the Dundee Library is a part of, the tree was not completely split from the lightning strike, however, it was significantly weakened.

Due to the tree’s proximity to the library building, officials were distraught at the prospect of having to cut it down.

With registration now being open, attendees of the event will get the opportunity to view custom-carved holiday movie-themed ice sculptures that will be on display on the sidewalks in the Huntley Square.

According to the Huntley Police Department, Zoellick was killed in action during the Korean War when he was only 18 years old.

For some background, in the late 1950s, Zoellick served as a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, and the 2nd Infantry Division of the U.S.

The recognition ceremony will take place at the middle school, with all D158 area veterans and their spouses invited to attend.

The event is expected to begin with breakfast served in the school’s cafeteria at 8 a.m., which will be served by students of Marlowe’s Service Club from 8:15 a.m.

Heuck was a long-time educator and physical education department chair at the district, who unfortunately lost her battle with breast cancer last fall.

Through fundraising efforts during October, Huntley Community School District 158 (D158) will be working to raise money to benefit a scholarship in Heuck’s name.

According to the district, the scholarship will be awarded by the Education Foundation and will be given to an HHS student who shows an interest in the field of education.
