At approximately 1 p.m. that Thursday, Sheriff’s Office investigators followed 45-year-old Carlo V. Yescas-Noriega from his residence located on the 2000 block of Limestone Lane in Carpentersville to the parking lot of the Algonquin Road Dollar Tree store location.

Yescas-Noriega was wanted on an outstanding theft warrant.

The incident occurred near Huntley and Kreutzer Roads.

The deceased individual was later identified as 44-year-old Jesse M. Dalisky of West Dundee.

Dalisky was transported to the Kane County morgue, where an autopsy was performed on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

The Kane County Coroner’s Office stated that the preliminary cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries due to a vehicle striking a fixed object.

“The clerk, who was the victim of the robbery, reported a male subject entered the business, displayed the grip of a pistol in the waistband of his pants, and demanded money,” said Naydenoff.

Upon arrival, officers located two subjects with injuries. One of the subjects was subsequently transported to an area hospital. The other subject, who was later identified as one of the offenders, had an injury that did not require medical treatment.

A couple of days following the incident, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser announced that 18-year-old Jesus Canales of Elgin was being charged with the following offenses:

Aggravated Battery with a firearm, a Class X felony; Armed Violence, a Class X felony; Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, a Class 1 felony; two counts of Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, a Class 4 felony; Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class 4 felony; Unlawful Use of a Firearm without Firearm Owners Identification, a Class 4 felony; and Mob Action, a Class 4 felony.

Knierim, of Addison, competed with her husband, Chris, in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Seoul. After Chris’s retirement, Knierim continued to skate with a new partner, Brandon Frazier.

The two managed to team up in the middle of the pandemic, ultimately qualifying for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

(Huntley, IL - Thursday, January 20, 2022) -- At the Wednesday, January 20, 2022 Board of Trustees monthly meeting, the library board made the difficult decision to extend the library’s current closing period to up to Monday, February 7, 2022.

Additional time is needed to complete the building program. This decision was based from a few factors. The first was a roof issue that needs to be addressed at once.

The petitioner requested for the Plan Commission to approve of amending the Preliminary Planned Unit Development for Huntley Crossings Phase I, while also approving of the Final Planned Unit Development for the construction of a new 10,400 square-foot child care center, including any necessary relief under the plans that have been submitted to and are on file with the Village of Huntley.

Upon their arrival, the suspect opened fire on the deputies and an adult female on the scene. Deputies returned fire, striking the suspect, according to a statement from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene.

Following the incident, McHenry County Coroner Michael Rein identified the deceased suspect as Nicholas D.

However, the Hampton Inn, which will be located at 13000 Route 47 and will occupy 3.7 acres of Lot 2 of the Huntley Crossings corporate park, has come forward to ask the village for a six-month extension on the previously agreed upon opening date.
