The pressure for the change in masking guidance comes after new data on outbreaks, demonstrates that on rare occasions, vaccinated people are still able to transmit the delta variant of the coronavirus.

“This was not a decision that was taken lightly…On rare occasions, some vaccinated people infected with the delta variant after vaccination may be contagious and spread the virus to others,” said the CDC’s director, Dr.

The Lake & McHenry County Scanner stated that the accident occurred at around 1:45 p.m. and involved a 2017 Ford Fiesta having rear ended a 2018 Ford F-450 truck.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta was reported as being a 35-year-old Woodstock man, who failed to identify that traffic had stopped in front of him, the Lake & McHenry County Scanner said.

Police are urging for 30-year-old Peter Stoyshich of Belize, Central America, 41-year-old Kurt Doporcyk of Algonquin and 32-year-old Ryan Barrett of Huntley, to turn themselves in as they are not currently in custody, but have an arrest warrant out for each of them.

According to Hoeft, the plaque was given to Cowlin to show appreciation for Cowlin’s years of service to the village.

According to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner, the McHenry County College Police Department and the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to the incident at around 1:58 p.m.

It appeared that an MCC motorcycle class instructor was driving his personal Jeep vehicle on the campus parking lot after class when he “hit the gas,” and struck a student of his, who was unable to move out of the way in time, reported the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.

While the updated CDC and IDPH guidelines still recommend for the masking of individuals under 12 years of age who are not yet eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, both agencies state that schools now have the option to remove any of the COVID-19 prevention strategies based on local conditions.

Upon arrival to the location, police located what at the time, appeared to be an unconscious male subject with no obvious signs of injury. However, upon further inspection, Crystal Lake Fire Department personnel quickly determined the subject was deceased.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office has since identified the 34-year-old male as Jeremy Ochal.

This month, all the superintendents of schools in McHenry County banded together to plead with the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) and Governor Pritzker to update their COVID-19 guidelines to reflect those of the CDC and not burden children with more requirements than vaccinated adults.

According to the statement, officers were dispatched to the area of Lawrence Avenue and North Aldine Street for a report of a found child in the area.

Further investigation led officers to the discovery that the child, who was unharmed, lived in the 300 block of Heine Avenue. The statement goes further to explain that “officers then responded to the 300 block of Heine where another child was located unharmed in the residence.”

According to a statement sent by ISP Trooper Omoayena Williams, the scene of the accident occurred on Interstate 90 (I-90) near milepost 46.75.

Upon arrival to the scene, ISP troopers responded to a one-unit personal injury traffic crash involving a green 2019 Ford Mustang, according to Williams.

Further investigation revealed that the Ford Mustang was traveling westbound when the driver attempted to avoid a collision with another vehicle on the roadway.

The deadline to apply for assistance under the McHenry County Emergency Utility and Rental Assistance Program has been pushed back an entire year, to Sept. 30, 2022. Renters and landlords who qualify are now eligible for up to 18 months of assistance, and up to 12 months in arrears.

Walgreens pharmacy will be providing and administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at both July clinics from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Eligible family members may also sign up for the clinic, with D158 stating that students from other districts may be accommodated if space allows.

The additional event will be held from 9 – 11:30 a.m., or until the shred truck reaches capacity, on Saturday, July 10, at the McHenry County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road in Woodstock. This event is open to McHenry County residents only. No businesses will be accepted, and there is a four banker box limit per vehicle.
